Paris Film School ISECM Opens English Film Directing Applications for 2026
Paris, France — ISECM, a Paris film school specialising in cinema and media education, has opened international applications for its English-taught Film Directing programmes for the 2026 academic year.
The programmes are designed for international students who want to study film directing in Paris or complete their studies online in English. Applicants can choose between a three-year undergraduate-level programme and a one-year advanced programme.
English Film Directing Programmes at Two Levels
The three-year undergraduate-level Film Directing Programme provides a structured introduction to directing and filmmaking. Students begin with film language, camera techniques and visual storytelling before moving towards directing actors, sound, editing, short-film production and a graduation project.
The one-year advanced Film Directing Programme is intended for applicants who already have relevant higher education, previous film training or professional experience and want to strengthen their directing practice.
Depending on the selected programme, students may study at the Paris campus or through a fully online format.

The language of instruction is English, making the programmes accessible to international applicants who want to study cinema in France without completing the entire course in French.
Students should have sufficient English proficiency to understand course materials and complete written and practical assignments.
Film Directing Programme Highlights
The curriculum covers film language, shot composition, camera movement, screenplay analysis, visual storytelling, directing actors, sound and editing.
