Playwriting Course: Spring 2027 Admissions at ISIAP Art School in Paris
Paris International Art Institute (ISIAP Art School) in Paris is accepting applications for its Spring 2027 intake, with online study options available. Applications close on 15 December 2026, and classes begin on 1 February 2027.
For applicants seeking a playwriting course, the undergraduate-level Playwriting and Voice pathway brings together writing for performance and an exploration of voice. It connects the written text with the dramatic situations, characters and spoken expression through which a work reaches an audience.
Writing for the stage involves thinking about what characters want, what prevents them from achieving it and how a situation changes during a scene. Dialogue works alongside action, silence and the presence of performers in a shared space.
Voice adds another perspective. The way a line is spoken can affect its rhythm, intention and meaning. Considering the relationship between text and performance helps writers examine how their work may be interpreted beyond the page. The pathway is relevant to prospective students interested in dramatic writing, theatre and performance-based storytelling.
Applicants seeking an online playwriting course can review ISIAP’s Playwriting and Voice pathway and select Online in the application form.
Applicants can select Online, Hybrid or On-site in the application form. Course-specific online delivery and any practical attendance requirements are confirmed during admissions review. Applicants should provide their educational background, personal statement and portfolio or supporting materials where applicable.
