Political Economy Courses Online: Spring 2027 Intake at London College of Diplomacy

London College of Diplomacy is accepting applications for its Political Economy and Global Development Professional Diploma, delivered through online distance learning.

For prospective students exploring political economy courses, the programme connects economic foundations with international political economy, international trade, global financial systems, development policy and global economic governance.

Political economy examines the relationship between economic activity and political institutions. Trade, finance and development are shaped by policy choices and institutional arrangements, while economic changes can influence political priorities. Studying these connections helps learners approach international issues from more than one perspective.

The programme combines foundation study, specialist analysis and a final applied project. Published outcomes include analysing concepts and international cases, evaluating sources and communicating evidence-based conclusions. Assessment includes module assignments, case analysis, thematic reports and a final project. Entry is based on secondary education or equivalent learning and experience, assessed through the application.

The programme lasts three years. Published tuition is £3,900 per year, or £11,700 over three years. The award is a Professional Diploma.
