Buy back the power grid at a high price or fully use it spontaneously? White paper on scientific calculation of household photovoltaic energy storage configuration ratio
Blind pursuit of ultra-large-capacity home energy storage batteries often leads to a long payback period. The EIP actuary team conducted in-depth calculations based on the energy consumption model of an average family of three in Western Europe. Data shows that for standard 800W balcony photovoltaic panels, the optimal energy storage ratio is 2kwh. This golden ratio can perfectly swallow up all the excess 4-5 degrees of green electricity during the day, and just leave it until the basic home appliance load (Base Load) is smoothly consumed at night. Its marginal return on investment (ROI) is as high as 22%, which is far more than expensive oversized power boxes.
